MT7000 Series Brightfield/Simple Polarization

MT7000 & MT7100 SERIES BRIGHTFIELD METALLURGICAL COMPOUND MICROSCOPES INCIDENT (REFLECTED) LIGHT INFINITY CORRECTED OPTICAL SYSTEM F=200MM QUINTUPLE NOSEPIECE

Brightfield: The simplest of all the optical microscopy illumination techniques. Sample illumination is incident (i.e., illuminated from above and observed from above) white light and contrast in the sample is caused by absorbance of some of the incident light in dense areas of the sample. Brightfield microscopy is the simplest of a range of techniques used for illumination of samples in light microscopes and its simplicity makes it a popular technique. The typical appearance of a metallurgical image is dependent on type of illumination used.

Simple Polarizing Light: Transverse wave light whose vibration possess direction is called polarized light. Light from an ordinary light source (natural light) that vibrates in random directions is called nonpolarized light. In contrast, while light with vertical vibration that travels within a single plane is called linearly polarized light, circularly polarized light and elliptically polarized light are types of light in which the vibration plane rotates forward. A polarizing plate (polarizing filter) or polarizing prism is often used as the device to change natural light to linearly polarized light.

The MT7000 & MT7100 Series is a versatile, modular, ergonomic metallurgical system. The newly designed Epi-Plan Optics provides exceptionally bright, crisp images with good color rendition and superior flat field of view. The MT7000 & MT7100 Series offer high magnification with incident light. Allowing the user to view samples at high magnification. Great for applications such as electroplating coatings, grain size, surface inclusions and defects.
